I think we should spearhead a letter writing campaign to big national newspapers (maybe even buy ads in them) saying “Shame on You Morgan Stanley”. But you have to be careful what you say after that, because if you follow it with “for ruining Maui with mansions” you might be reaching the exact people that would want to know there were new mansions for sale, so it needs to be well thought out. So, maybe something like “Shame on you Morgan Stanley for disrespectully trampling on history and stealing limited resources”
There is water no more aqua-colored in the world but in Hana. We should make Save Makena more personal by selling Kula for Makena, Makawao for Makena, Kihei for Makena, etc. t shirts and bumper stickers. Attend every town meeting.. Most of Maui says, “I haven’t been to Makena in years so it is already lost to me. How about an event at Makena. Invite the council to camp at Makena on a full moon? Maybe a documentary can be made about Makena’s history? Rob Parsons, I am Peter Klein’s wife and have am curriculum coordinator (whatever) at Makawao School) Get the students involved.
