about 40 years ago i was told some of the history of makena by uncle jackie akina.there are graves a lot of them. some mass graves.he was around 80 at the time.and would tell me allways show respect to the kupuna . there are people who think a mall and fast food would be just fine at makena side. but never saw maui 40 years ago.take a look around. wtf
